Snow Globes

The picture I just posted below does not give justice to the view outside my window right now. I am captivated and mesmerized by the falling white flakes, which in this language, snow is translated, "barf." It looks like a snow globe, newly shaken, as the glistening crystals cover over the city. And even though I'm 29 (and some odd months) old, there are few things that can bring out the child in me, the way that snow does. I LOVE IT!!

You'd think after pretty much three straight weeks of this stuff, I'd be sick of seeing it. But I'm not. After 10 years of drought, this land desperately needs the water that this snow (once it all finally melts) will provide. Right now it is serving as a daily reminder of both His blessings and His work in this place. Father, may your blessings continue to flow into this land--flooding this nation, with your Living Water. May Your glory fill this land as Your people sing your praises.

Right now I'm...
  • procrastinating from a ton of work I came to get done today
  • drinking a Pepsi (a real American one that I bought at the military PX the other day)
  • wearing my matching blue hat (which I thought I had lost over 2 years ago, but it was rediscovered and returned to me by my wonderful friend Karla) and scarf
  • full of a million thoughts and ideas of how I want to present the "Five Languages" to my team on Tuesday night (D asked me to share about these things at one of our "family nights" and it's funny how many grand ideas I can come up with...and how few of them will actually happen!)
  • trying to figure out how I'm going to win a bet that I made with someone by Valentine's Day! (No extensions!---S)
  • loving the snow fall
  • working on a mixed CD for Valentine's Day and our "Family Night" gathering
  • going to stop writing so that I can accomplish at least ONE thing today!

I take for granted how important snow is. thanks for reminding me to look for Father's touch in the simple, everyday moments.

by the way, what is a non-American Pepsi like?

Thanks Krista!

It's hard to explain the difference between the Pepsi here and the Pepsi from the States. I'll let you taste for yourself when you come for a visit though! It will be the next big "Taste Test!"
