Earlier this afternoon, those words rang out from my computer speakers as I changed my classroom calendar from February to March. I don't know how many of you remember "calendar time" in 1st and 2nd grade, but it's a BIG deal. There have been months when I have dreaded the fact that the month was changing and I needed to get the calendar done that day, before the kids came back to school the following morning. But today was different.
With the sun shining through my windows and the temperatures finally warming up outside, I gladly said my goodbyes to February....I won't miss you, with your gray days, messy streets, cold rooms, lighting fires, 15 layers of clothes, and all the gloomy attitudes that came with you.
Spring is coming and hope springs eternal. It won't be long. Today has given me what I need to hang on until it happens.

Amen sista! Its snowing here AGAIN, even though yesterday it was 60 outside... i say, pick a season and stay with it. I'm sick of this going back and forth stuff. And thanks for quoting barenaked ladies, i know its going to be a great day when i hear that!
