Just in case I've given you the wrong impression of life here, what with all my previous pictures of rooftop parties and foreigners, I thought I'd give you a little glimpse into the other part of my world.
The reason I'm here.
Below are some pics from a dedication/celebration ceremony we held this week in SZ village. It doesn't take much to notice that the women were not a part of this party (big surprise). However, one of my staff members worked in my place as the on-site photographer to capture the moment. It really played out to my advantage as now I can actually see the men whom we've been serving alongside of this year!

what's that they say...a picture is worth a thousand words :) So, you have some three thousand words in this post. :)
What a world...I love the insider glimpse you got of the mans world.
wow, that's so crazy to think these pictures are your first look at these men. i'm glad you posted them.
and of course, it's good to know you aren't over there just drinking coffee and making thai food and reading relevant. : )
Noel-Thanks! It's crazy how contrasting my two worlds are, huh? :)
Meredith-You're right. It's not *everyday* that I drink coffee, make thai and read Relevant. ...Only when you're here.
You should come back soon!
Out of curiousity, are the women you work with as taken back by the photos as you are?
