Hours Remaining

It's been a good, full couple of days here in Ktown. There's been eating out at restaurants, wonderful conversations while sipping coffee in the kitchen, mad games of Bop It Extreme (without batteries--I made the rules and we took turns calling out commands), lounging at the UN pool with some of my all-time favorite people, crazy photos with my photo booth (this never gets old for S and me), dinner with the Ozark interns,
and somewhere in the mix...
I even managed to see the dentist.

Oh yes, the dentist.

I've been having pain in the same tooth of the root canal so I was a bit nervous going into the visit. I explained this to the doctor, and after a quick check, she decided to take an x-ray. A few minutes later she came back into the room with the results. ...She couldn't see anything wrong. (phew!) Kind of.

She explained how it could be a number of things:
1. It sometimes (read: rarely) takes up to 3-6 months for people to heal completely. Since there were so many initial complications during the procedure, this could be the case for me.
*Answer: Wait a month and see if the pain persists or worsens.

2. Sometimes people have allergic reactions to the filling or medicine they put into the tooth afterwards. I did have a reaction to the anesthetic that she used, so this could also be a possibility.
*Answer: Take out the current filling and replace it with something new and temporary. Return in a month and see how my body is reacting and then, if there is no problem, she could put in a permanent filling.

3. Due to complications before, there's a chance that the root canal is not finished.
*Answer: Re-do the entire root canal. (Also note the doctor explained how doing a second root canal is 3 TIMES more difficult than the first.)

Hmmm....What to do? What to do?

OBVIOUSLY, I chose answer number 1! What did you think?! Now I just hope time is on my side, as they say! :)

So I'm heading out first thing in the morning to the Ancient City . I think I'm ready. It will be good to see my staff and the villagers once again. Reality is calling and "normal" life is soon to resume.

I guess for now, I'm just thankful for these moments of sunshine, friendships, freedoms, and laughter. I'll take times like this any way they come.

You look so pretty with your new sleek hair and bangs!!! :)

Sorry to hear about the tooth issue! I say that if there is a problem in a month from now that you get it taken care of in the states! You don't want to be messing around with that stuff it can cause a real head ache...worse than you have already had!! That's my 2 cents :)

Thanks Barista N and Noel...

Is this your way of getting me back to the States early? I really don't think it necessary to go that far, but we'll see.
