And when I say "randomness," I mean...
*I'm thinking of getting bangs.*
Yes, bangs. NO, not the straight across your forehead kind, but the slanted, semi-longer, swooped kind. But I'm nervous. For several reasons:
1. I did this two years ago and liked it...the first time. The second time I went back to get them shaped up and the lady totally butchered my hair! My usual rapid growth hair seemed to take MONTHS to return to a style I actually liked. So I'm hesitant. Maybe I have some trust issues? So what?!
2. I'm not in Kansas anymore (not that I ever was, but it's the expression)--You see, where I'm going for break may seem like a playground for the rich and famous of the first world. However, the people who work there (and I guess "there" in this context means the places in which I can afford to frequent) usually are not. Therefore, communication and service is always a funny (and sometimes frustrating) thing. So do I trust the sweet Phillippino lady who barely speaks English, to understand what I mean when I say the word "bangs?" Hmmm...
3. Most of my life is lived in a place that requires me to have my hair completely covered. This can be seen as a positive or a negative, depending on the outcome. The positive being that if I despise my hair, no one else will have to look at it. The negative being that it's harder to keep shorter bangs pulled back and hidden from the world.
Now I know this is not an international crisis or anything, but what do you think?
Should I do it?
(Please Note: People who blog about hockey teams have no room to comment on what a waste of time this post was to read.)

My vote is to get bangs. A little change is good for us. Plus, whatever happens, you'll be here in 4-ish months to easily communicate what you want.
I say go for it. Take a picture with you. The worst that could happen is you wont get any dates for a couple months.

Comparing a hair cut to hoisting the Cup?!! ARE YOU NUTS?!
World domination waxes and wanes with important hockey games. Think back to the Cold War (...and yes, you are old enough to remember--think "Shamrock Shakes"). As everyone knows, the deciding factor in the US winning was the Miracle on Ice.
This post was a waste of time. Hockey is much more important.
Trix-You're always so wise.
Barista N-Thanks for lending your thoughts to this otherwise girly topic. :) And you're right, that's definitely the worst that could happen. Ha!
The Bearded-You've been watching too much Disney if you think that hockey has an affect on world domination!
Hockey will never be more important than one's hairstyle. Never.
the bearded just doesn't get it... got for it. i did the swooped bangs, and now i am thinking about the straight across look. sometime within the next few weeks in fact... there could be a new look for me. so let's do it together! i'll do it if you do is the silliest thing to say... but hey i'm in if you are in!
Yippie! It's almost break time...I'm so excited for YOU!! Go for it, get the bangs!! And get the threading thing done too while your at it :) And some hightlights and a pedicure (oh, oops...you don't like your feet touched)...treat yourself to some ice cream and other good stuff too! :) Wish I could come hang out with you! Wishing you the best while you are on break!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lindsay-I'm in! :)
Noel-Thanks for the thoughts. I can only afford a haircut right now though. Well, that and some ice cream, of course! Wish you were coming too!
