The Stars Are Aligning...

This week I'm heading to Ktown. We have a first-time guest coming in and my boss asked me to go meet her at the airport and bring her back to the Ancient City. He didn't have to twist my arm too much, as I LOVE having the opportunity to get out for a couple days plus hang out with some of my favorite people.

THEN, yesterday I get an email from the blue-eyed hottie himself, "Cowboy." He wrote to say that he will be in Ktown for one night, maybe two, and just in case 'the stars were to align' I might be there as well.

Well....the stars must be in alignment because it just so happens that I will!!

Whoot Whoot! It's been over 2 years since we said our goodbyes in Ktown. We've got a lot to make up for! :)

That, coupled with the fact that my beloved Cards are within a half a game of Cowboy's stupid CUBS, makes this one of the best days EVER!
(See Cowboy, I didn't say the Cards were going to win the World Series, even though we all know this to be true!)

(Just a note to people wondering: NO the Cowboy and I are not dating...have any plans to date...or have ever thought about dating in the past. We just like to joke about it and make people ask questions. Like I've said before, I could never be with a Cubs fan. I'm not even sure how I'm friends with one, except by His grace.)

Cowboy, can't wait to hang out this week!!

friendship is the foundation of love... besides if you joke about it all the time, it's bound to happen. can't wait for the wedding!

I'm with Lindsay. Just be sure to send all of us invites.

And as for your "Cowboy" being a CUBS fan...don't they play in your home state?

if the cowboy is who i think he is, say hi to him for me. :) i ran into his old professor a couple of months ago...it was one of our points of commonality since i called his beloved professor "uncle" when i was growing up.

Lindsay--You're funny. That's all I've got to say about that.

Bearded--Just fyi, 'Cowboy' isn't even from my home state. And while, yes, the Cubs are, I didn't realize that was a part of being a fan. You should know this, Mr. Avs.

Katie--Will do. You are thinking about, "M" aren't you? Not "B"?
