Daring to be....Me

One may wonder what there is to do for fun in this place after dark. Typically, that answer would be: Stay inside and keep warm with your housemates. Maybe watch a movie. Maybe read. Usually go to bed early.

However last night's answer read like this:

1. Invite all the singles over for naan pizza.
2. Chill out to some good music, good food, & good conversation.
3. Answer the door to hear the same singles who just left your house, singing "We Wish You A Merry Xmas" and holding a plate of frosted Christmas cookies.
4. Decide that we are going to collectively "don our gay apparel" (i.e. the long black sheet-like capes we wear on a daily basis) and head to our other foreigner friends' homes for caroling and the spreading of holiday cheer.
5. On more than one occasion, realize just how "odd" and comforting this feels, and that by spreading "cheer" to others, you've somehow just brightened your own spirit as well.
