Presently

The clouds are slowly dissipating off the mountainside while the rain is drifting away from the city. A shepherd leads his herd of sheep and goats safely across the street and I’m guessing they are in search of food as opposed to the “out for an afternoon walk,” which I sometimes think as they greet me on that same corner nearly everyday at this time.

The smell of freshly ground Starbucks coffee (which I ground at school, for my French press purposes tomorrow morning) is rising up out of my bag and transporting me to another place far, far away. I breathe deeply of this sweet aroma in hopes that it will fill my pores and seep into my veins. I am worn out from a very long week and need strength that I know cannot come from within (or coffee, for that matter).

The weekend is here and I'm ready.

I just saw that today as well! Turns out, caffeine isn't so bad for you after all!

We miss you, Laurie. Can't wait to see you this summer/fall.
