Wrong.
Maybe some day.
Since returning from CA at the end of April, I have spent time in Illinois (all over), Colorado, Missouri (STL & JoMo), Kentucky (twice), Florida, Louisiana, Texas (twice), and northern California. That's 8 states in 3 months and that doesn't include the 4 other states I've driven through--Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Now I'm back in IL for a few more days before heading off to Ohio and then on to Wisconsin.
But I know it won't be long now before this summer of travel and fun comes screeching to a halt and I settle in to some sort of life that resembles most everyone else's here in the US. Honestly (not to ruin the thrill-seeker/adventurer image that some may think I possess)...I'm kind of ready for it.
I'm ready for the comfort of my own room and an unpacked suitcase. I'm ready for a routine that helps me differentiate between a Tuesday and a Saturday. I'm ready for the challenges of a new job. And I'm ready for the chance to strengthen old friendships all the while, making new ones.
In other words, I'm ready!
But I can't complain. I've been so beyond blessed. And encouraged. And amazed at how He works.
And here are just a few of the reasons why...
1. These Friends--I love them...I love them...I love them.
2. This Guy--I'll spare the sappy details, except to say that he's a pretty wonderful surprise. The beach in Florida:
The downpour in New Orleans:
This journey can be pretty crazy at times, but I feel as though God just keeps challenging me to give what little I have to offer back to Him, and then watch and be amazed at what He does in return.

"A pretty wonderful surprise" sounds like the title of a sweet song. =) You're cute.
you can't gloss over the sappy details, friend. we, meaning at least i, want them, in all their glorious sappiness. seriously, i do. you need to write them down somewhere for posterity, you'll enjoy it later - i know from experience, and since you're putting them to ink, what better place than here?? or at least in an email to me. ;)
Remember that time you came to Texas and saw me? Yeah. That was great.
Now do it again!
Love you...

I love this post! You are such a great writer...even when it's just an update post! :) I'm glad your summer of surprises has been good and I'm happy for your "normal" life that is around the corner. :)
