Today my little "Mac" got a makeover. He went in to the store beat up and dirty (having lived a difficult year in the Ancient City) and came out a new computer!
I love Apple!!
If you don't have a Mac yet, you should. That's all I'm going to say about that.
In other news...I received TWO new mixed CD's in the mail today from Tennessee!! They came just in time for my drive to the 'Lou this afternoon and I couldn't have been more pleased. M, you better believe I was having a jam session with "Starfish and Coffee." (Thank you sooo much!)
And all of this has got me thinking about how happy I am right now. So many blessings wrapped up in the mundane, ordinariness of my days.
*Winter skies--grey, blue, pink/purple sunsets
*Driving alone--Even if it is in a big ole' truck that I hardly know how to park!
*Laundry with "Simple Pleasures"
*Great music
*Wearing my hair down...EVERY DAY
*Rain/snow--Before I came back, I hadn't seen a drop of precipitation since last March (I think?)
*Being able to talk to my friends whenever I feel like it--knowing that it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg
*Spending precious time with people I love
*Enjoying Christmas lights--both in my home and as I drive
*A fireplace lit simply for aesthetic purposes
*Super fast (or at least it seems to me) internet speed
*Freedom to walk outside, with no covering and no one staring and a very slim (to none) possibility of a suicide bomb or kidnapping threat nearby
*Central heating
*Peppermint Ice Cream
So many things for which to give thanks. And to think that they are there every day. Every*single*day.
If I dare to see them.

I'm willing to bet one of the reasons you are so happy is that at least one of your new CDs is a COUNTRY MUSIC mix. THAT would really put a skip in your step.

Just have to ask...does that mean the Mac store had make-up remover? Did they get it all off?
