Analogies

Yesterday, while I was perusing the Christian Inspirational section of books at Barnes & Noble, I came across a book entitled, "If Men Are Like Buses, Then Can You Please Tell Me How I Can Catch One?"

Now, I laughed to myself--first at the title and then at the thought of this book being in the "Christian Inspirational" section.

Later that night, on our drive back to Jtown, I shared that funny title with my friend, Jenni.
And I have to be quite honest, this question left us somewhat befuddled.

How are men like buses?

Would anyone care to make some comparisons?

I could say big and strong, but I keep thinking, do you remember what a school bus smells like?

Gaseous fumes tend to come out of the backside of them from time to time.

They are all about routine...doing the same thing day in and day out.

Quality of the bus (or the man) is completely dependent on who is handling the controls.

I'm still going with...another one comes along every 15 minutes...so if you miss one, you can always catch the next one that comes along.
